The Pomona Merchants Association has a Fourth of July Celebration, which in 2010 will be on July 3rd. They also have a Fall Festival which is usually around the first weekend in October.
Pomona Recreation Commission conducts summer youth baseball and softball.
Pomona has several local organizations such as the local chapter of Lions Club International, Masonic Lodge, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownie troops, Red Hat Society and Pomona Pioneer 4-H Club.
An active Senior Citizens group holds monthly activities and “Meals on Wheels” delivers daily.
United Methodist and Assembly of God churches conduct regular worship services and other denominations are within short driving distance.
